Range Rules

BELLEVILLE INDOOR SHOOTING RANGE

1. RANGE PERSONNEL

A.       Belleville Shooting Range personnel are in direct control of the range at all times. Any person handling a firearm is an unsafe or careless manner will be asked to leave & will be barred from further use of the range.

B.       Belleville Shooting Range personnel are authorized to inspect all firearms and ammunition. Range personnel will ban the use of firearms and ammunition they deem unsafe or not in good working condition.

2. FIREARM SAFETY PROCEDURES

A.       All firearms must be unloaded when brought into Belleville Shooting Range .

B.       Shooters must NEVER move beyond the firing line. If you need to retrieve an object, Le. magazine, brass, targets, etc that fell beyond the firing line contact the Range master for assistance.

C.       While in the Belleville Shooting Range firearms must be cased or holstered (law enforcement only). Rental revolvers, without holsters or case must be carried by the top strap, with the cylinder open. Rental semi-automatics and rental rifles must have the action open, and magazine removed.

D.       Unattended firearms must be unloaded.

E.       Firearms must be pointed down range at all times while on the range. Firearms must be holstered, cased, or carried as described above while moving from the firing line.

F.        A responsible adult must accompany persons under 18 years of age. The adult shall act as coach and must remain with the minor at all times while the minor is using the range.

G.       Only one shooter (or one shooter & one coach) is allowed in each shooting booth.

H.       Once an individual has entered the booth the firearm may be loaded and the firearm must be pointed down range. No firearm may be loaded outside the booth.

I.         Accidental discharges, damages, or injuries - NO MATTER how minor - MUST be reported to the Range Master IMMEDIATELY

J.         When leaving the firing line temporarily, unload the firearm, lay the muzzle pointed downrange and the action open and visible.

K.       When you are finished shooting, unload your weapon and place it into its case or holster. Please clean up your shooting booth area, pick up all your brass, and remove all targets and trash before leaving.

3. TYPES OF FIREARMS ALLOWED

A.       All handguns are allowed

B.       Shotguns - slugs, and shot ammunition maybe utilized.

C.       Rifle calibers as follows, 22 caliber long rifle through 30-06 (lanes 1,2,3 only)

4. LANE USAGE

A.       Lanes 1-8 handguns maybe utilized

B.       Lanes 1-2-3 , rifle caliber may be used.

5. AMMUNITION

A.       Armor penetrating, tracer, steel shot, explosive, or incendiary rounds are prohibited.

B.       Factory ammunition or factory reloads may be utilized on the Belleville Shooting Range .

6. UNAUTHORIZED TARGETS

  1. Firing at other than unapproved targets (cups, cans, range property, etc.) may result in revocation of range privileges, and liability for damages to include repair costs for damaged property and/or equipment. Costs for T-bars, cables, brackets, pulleys, lights and fixtures, walls and ceiling to be determined by range personnel.

7. EYE AND EAR PROTECTION

A.       All personnel on the range must wear eye protection at all times. Belleville Shooting Range will rent eye and ear protection to those who need it.

8. DRY FIRING

A.       Dry firing is allowed on the firing line only. Dry firing in the retail area or outside the shooting stall is prohibited.

9. CEASE FIRE

A.       When you hear the command "cease fire", stop firing immediately. Lay your firearm on the counter and step back from the shooting line. Wait for range personnel to announce when its safe to resume shooting.

10. MISFIRE OR MALFUNCTION

A.       If you experience a misfire or malfunction, keep your firearm pointed down range. If necessary, place the firearm on the counter pointed down range and obtain assistance from any range personnel.

11. ALCOHOL & DRUGS

A.       The use of alcohol or drugs is prohibited on the range. Persons believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused use of the range.

12. SMOKING, FOOD, & BEVERAGE

A.       Smoking, Eating, and Drinking are prohibited on the range.

 

 

STRICT ADHERENCE TO THESE RULES AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON THE FIRING RANGE WILL HELP PREVENT ACCIDENTS OR INJURIES

I (print name) _______________________________________. my agents, executors and or administrators, in and for consideration to enter, rent, and use facilities, firearms and/or services of Belleville Indoor Shooting Range, do hereby absolutely and unequivocally agree to release and hold harmless METROKING, Inc., d/b/a Belleville Indoor Shooting Range, d/b/a Metro Shooting Supplies, an Illinois Corporation, its officers and/or liability arising out of any injury, loss, or disability connected with the use of facilities and/or service. Additionally, I have read, and understand, and agree to obey the Belleville Indoor Shooting Range rules.

* Range Ammo MUST be used in ALL Rental Guns (NO Exceptions)
* Must be 18 Years old to Rent Long Guns
* Must be 21 Years old to Rent Hand Guns \ Full Autos
* Must have Valid ID or Illinois Residents FOID Card
